Been coming to Martha’s and placing cake orders for years. My family loves their cakes. Imagine the disappoint I felt when my family placed an order for a cake ahead of time, specifically asking for BLUE velvet, with the writing “it’s a boy” in blue For a gender reveal/babyshower. The staff was careless putting the order together from the moment they selected the cake, wrote on it and packaged it. Not once, did they bother checking it was the correct design. They gave us a red velvet cake. A big eye sore of red surrounded by blue colored themed decorations. thought maybe atleast the cake inside was blue. Nope. Shameful. Embarrassing.

I was visiting from Chicago and stopped by Martha's Bakery in Forest Hills after hearing good things about their desserts. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegan options available. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It's not always easy to find a bakery with such a strong selection of vegan treats, so that was a big plus. The bakery itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere and is a great place to sit and enjoy coffee and dessert. The only downside was the service. The servers seemed a bit rude and not particularly welcoming, which was disappointing given how good the food was. Overall, the excellent vegan offerings made the visit worthwhile. If you're in the area and looking for quality vegan desserts, Martha's Bakery is definitely worth checking out.

Great bakery items especially cakes. They are extremely busy over the weekends. Street parking can be challenging. They also have a coffee ☕️ corner and sitting area.

Incredibly delicious and perfect for when you're passing by and want something that feels fresh. Got the opportunity to try like 6 different desserts and they all were delicious. Their strawberry shortcake and fruits cake were my favorites. Loved that they tasted fresh and they were perfect in sugar amount. Sometimes there's a big line but it moves quickly. I would definitely keep going back.

So happy to discover this bakery! I stood in line for 30 minutes but it was totally worth the wait. The variety of cheesecakes, pies and cakes is overwhelming. Absolutely loved their signature Berry Napoleon (not too heavy, not too sweet), Black Forest cake and Black Forest Cheesecake.
